Pizzeria Update
This is a really hard update to share with you.
We were recently visited by the City after a complaint about the pizzeria operating from the alley. Unfortunately, we are no longer open for regular Thursday to Sunday online ordering, pickup, or delivery from our current location.
Catering is unaffected and will continue as usual.
We know this is disappointing for you. It is incredibly disappointing for us too.
Over the years, we’ve had the chance to get to know so many of you through pizza nights, repeat orders, pickups, friendly messages, and familiar names popping up in our online orders week after week. Getting to make pizza for you has been one of the best parts of our lives, and being told we can’t continue in this current format has left a pretty big pizza-shaped hole in our hearts.
A lot of people have asked how they can help. The biggest way right now is through catering referrals.
We are still able to provide catering for private events, corporate events, weddings, parties, and gatherings where we come to you. Our catering minimum is $1500 (70 pizzas). If you know someone planning an event, or if your workplace, family, school, team, or community group is looking for something fun and delicious, we would be so grateful if you sent them our way.
This is our livelihood, but it’s also what we love to do. We are not ready to say goodbye to making pizza for this community.
We are currently exploring options that would allow us to bring you pizza from another location, potentially through a few off-site pop-ups this summer, while we figure out what comes next. We certainly didn’t intend to go cold turkey off pizza, and we know many of you didn’t either.
THANK YOU for supporting us, ordering from us, cheering us on, telling your friends about us, and letting us be part of your weekends over the years. It has meant more than you know.
We’ll keep you posted as soon as we know what the next version of Savino looks like.
With gratitude,
Danny & Family
